Kano State human resource management policy

This policy outlines the procedures, regulations and conditions of service that govern the management of Kano State's Civil Service human resources as well as management policy initiatives to improve the performance and strengthen service delivery.

Sections include recruitment, conditions of service, staff conduct and ethics, working hours and leave, discipline and grievances, appeals, sickness and medical provisions, exits, career development, learning and development, data management, and diversity.

The intention is to distribute this policy document widely and ensure that every civil servant can examine and learn the policies that dictate their terms of employment, establishing mutual understanding of the relationship and obligations between the State and each civil servant.
