A do-it-yourself guide for goatkeepers and farmers to keep their goat herds healthy. This manual provides step by step instructions on how to; maintain herd health; detect early signs of ill-health; and diagnose common diseases or conditions. This manual may also prove useful for extension workers as they interact and meet with farmers.

It is primarily intended for use by resource-poor goat keepers living in the south-western region of KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa but will also be useful in other similar agro-ecological areas of southern Africa.
