Community Animal Health Network (CAHNET)

CAHNET is a community animal health network for the dissemination and sharing of experiences and information among members drawn from Community Animal Health (CAH) programmes. CAHNET membership is Open to all individuals or organisations working with, or interested in, community animal health in the Greater Horn of Africa.

The network secretariat comprises FARM-Africa, CLIP (ITDG), CAPE (OAU-IBAR) and PACT-Mwengo. Services include:

• distance learning opportunities in animal health and Information Technology
• A bi-monthly bulletin / newsletter in electronic and paper form
• A website with downloadable information, moderated discussions, notice board
• Collation and interpretion of information needed by members
• Information about members and services provided
• Linking members with common interests
• Broker resources sharing and partnership between members
• An interactive forum where members can come together for advocacy on CAH issues
• Hosting workshops and training.
