NACS Meeting Report 2011
Ninety-eight participants from 18 countries met to share tools and experiences and to disseminate promising approaches in nutrition assessment, counseling, and support (NACS) programming. NACS is the primary model supported by the United States President’s Emergency Fund for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) for integrating nutrition services into clinical HIV care and treatment services. FANTA-2 collaborated with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID); the University Research Corporation, LLC (URC)/NuLife; the Uganda Regional Centre for Quality of Health Care (RCQHC); and the Uganda Ministry of Health to hold the 4?day meeting in Jinja, Uganda, September 14–17, 2010. The meeting report details the meeting objectives, processes, and key issues identified.
