Issues and challenges in integrated district planning

This is based on PRIA's experience on Integrated District Planning (IDP) as a Technical Support Institution (TSI) in 14 districts across 5 states of India. Later, PRIA's engagement with District Planning Committee in Madhubani district of Bihar has enriched our learning's further to draw issues and challenges in IDP. The matrix summarizes a detailed step by step process of IDP as delineated in the IDP Manual of Planning Commission of India and challenges in doing so. It also offers possible solutions/ opportunities to deal with these challenges.
