Uganda Martyrs University (UMU)

University founded in 1993, whose main Campus is located at Nkozi 82 kms west of Kampala. Academic departments include:

• the Institute of Ethics and Development Studies
• the Faculty of Business Administration and Management
• the Centre for Extra-Mural Studies and Distance-Learning
• Centre for the Detection, Study, and Eradication of Fraud
• International Centre for Good Governance and Civil Society
• the Department of Health Sciences (see separate entry)
• the Faculty of Agriculture
• the Faculty of Education.

The University also hosts the African Research and Documentation Centre, which aims to promote and facilitate the study of African cultures.
