In rural Benin, adapting to climate change will depend on improving farmers' access to information and actively involving them in decision-making. How can farmers access information that would enable them to plant and to harvest on time under such variable conditions? How can they be involved in the information gathering process and in developing measures to address climatic upheaval? These are some of the questions at the heart of an action research project engaging the broad spectrum of relevant stakeholders to strengthen rural Benin’s capacity to adapt to climate change. The project brings together researchers, farmers, and local decision-makers to find ways of sharing knowledge on climate variability, to reduce farmers’ vulnerability, and to increase food security
