Guyana's initial national communication to the UNFCCC

This first national communication contains an overview of the Guyana. This national communication is in fulfilment of the Guyana's obligation to submit such a report under the agreement signed with the UNFCCC. The information includes data on greenhouse gas emissions, geography, demographics, ecology, and economy among other topics. Essentially, the communication enables the UN to assess the nation's overall contribution to global greenhouse gas emissions and whether or not it should be required to reduce these emissions based on criteria set out in the convention.
