Job: Water & Sanitation for the Urban Poor seeks Programme Funding Officer, London

WSUP is a not-for-profit partnership between development NGOs and the private sector.
It is supported by academia and a pool of specialists, which represents a unique approach by engaging utilities, municipalities, governments, businesses and communities to achieve real, meaningful and practical solutions to the urban water sanitation problem.
WSUP believes that the key to delivering services to all citizens in a city is to build the capacity of service providers.
To meet its goals, WSUP needs to raise £23 million from local and national funding institutions as a mix of grants and loans. These funds will pay for project design and implementation costs, covering both infrastructure and capacity building components.The role of the Programme Funding Officer is to assist WSUP in securing sufficient funding to support its growing programme and to provide programme management support to this end. WSUP is looking for a confident and professional individual with experience of managing funding bids for international organisations, knowledge of grant application processes, contract management and contractual adherence to a wide range of donors and financial institutions. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of working in a management role in a large complex organisation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to assist negotiations with donors, clients, local partners and beneficiaries to provide effective support to project teams are essential.
