Job: Global Campaign for Education has 3 Manager Vacancies for World Cup Project, London or Johannesburg

Are you interested in working on a major project around the 2010 Football World Cup? Do you care about everyone in the world having the chance to go to school? Do you have a background in football?

The Global Campaign for Education is an international movement of civil society organisations, international charities, child rights activists and trade unions in over 100 countries. Together with governments, private sector companies and faith groups we have recently formed the Class of 2015 to campaign on Education for All including the right of all children to have the chance to go to school. GCE is recruiting three new posts to work in the on a major Class of 2015 project around the Football World Cup in South Africa. All posts are between 18-24 months and based in London or Johannesburg. Fluency in English is essential and working knowledge of one of French, Spanish or Arabic is strongly desirable.

Class of 2015 – Co-ordinator, World Cup Project
GCE is looking for a dynamic and motivated co-ordinator for its major project around the 2010 Football World Cup. Working with GCE and other members of the Class of 2015 including Governments, private sector companies, faith groups and FIFA – the Co-ordinator will deliver a high profile and ambitious project to raise the profile and public support for education and secure a big breakthrough in giving all children in Africa the chance to go to school. They will advise on all aspects of the campaigning including securing support from high profile footballers, liaising with sponsors and broadcasters to secure coverage and developing communication platforms to reach millions of fans around the world. We are looking for someone who has significant experience of working in football, managing major projects and who has a track record of success.


Class of 2015 - Member Association and Player Liaison Manager, World Cup Project
GCE is looking for an experienced and motivated project officer for its major campaign around the 2010 Football World Cup. Working with GCE and other members of the Class of 2015 including Governments, private sector companies, faith groups and FIFA – the Co-ordinator will lead on player and Football Association liaison around a high profile and ambitious project to raise the profile and public support for education and secure a big breakthrough in giving all children in Africa the chance to go to school. We are looking for someone who has significant experience of working in football and who has a track record of success.

Class of 2015 - Broadcasting and Sponsor Liaison Manager, World Cup Project
GCE is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual who has significant experience of football or sports broadcasting. You will make a vital contribution to the Class of 2015 project around the 2010 World Cup securing engagement of broadcasters and sponsors in promoting the right of all children in Africa to go to school. Working with GCE and our Class of 2015 partners including governments, private sector companies, faith groups and FIFA you will secure exceptional coverage for this campaign.
