Film, book or play?: Community-based HIV prevention in rural Uganda

Behavioural change interventions still offer the best chance of preventing the spread of HIV in developing countries. But which methods are most effective? Researchers at the MRC Programme on AIDS in Uganda assess four HIV education strategies: drama, video, community educators (CEs) and leaflets. Each has strengths and weaknesses and a combination of approaches may be needed.
