Strategies for Eliminating Child Labour: Prevention, removal and rehabilitation: synthesis document the for International Conference on Child Labour, Oslo, 27-30 October 1997

The present synthesis document attempts to draw together the information and the arguments presented in the various papers that have been prepared for the Oslo Conference on Child Labour in order to provide an overview of the present state of knowledge regarding the extent and nature of child labour (Section II), the social and economic environment conducive to the elimination of child labour (Section III), and the most effective practical measures for combating child labour (Section IV). The final section suggests some general conclusions concerning future action.
