Guidelines for the Integration of Gender Issues into the Design, Monitoring and Evaluation of ILO Programmes and Projects

View full report

The aim of the guidelines is to provide ILO staff with the analytical concepts and tools to incorporate women and equality concerns into the design, monitoring and evaluation of ILO programmes. They assist the staff in: recognizing the most common bottlenecks and problems which hamper the promotion of equality of opportunity and treatment between men and women in employment, as well as finding ways to overcome them; designing and implementing ILO programmes which are responsive to the needs of both men and women workers; and ensuring that the benefits from ILO programmes are distributed more equally between men and women workers.
