The Development Studies Sector in the United Kingdom: Challenges for the New Millennium

Strategic assessment of the structure, conduct, and performance of the development studies sector in the United Kingdom. It considers challenges that the sector faces in the years ahead, in light of the need for development studies internationally; the role of U.K. development studies; and the strengths and weaknesses, and problems and opportunities, facing the sector. It makes recommendations for the sector's future development and the government's role in implementation of the recommendations.
