An institute of political parties for political parties
The NIMD was established by the Dutch political parties as a response to international requests for support by political parties and groups abroad.
The mandate of NIMD is to encourage the process of democratisation in young democracies by providing support to political parties as the core pillars of a multiparty democracy. NIMD works in a strictly non-partisan and inclusive manner.
