Instituto Javeriano de Vivienda y Urbanismo (The Institute for Housing and Urbanism), Colombia (INVAJIU)

The Institute for housing and urbanism (“Insituto Javeriano de vivienda y Urbanismo”-INJAVIU) belongs to the Faculty of Architecture of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia. It was created in 1993 as a research institute with the objective of producing knowledge on development issues. It principally studies the current problems of urban poverty and inadequate housing in Bogotá and other cities in Colombia. INJAVIU has conducted a number of research projects in partnership with other institutions like IDB, UN, NGOs and Universities and works in partnership with other organisations in Latin America.
