The Forced Migration Studies Programme, University of the Witwatersrand (FMSP)

The Forced Migration Studies Programme (FMSP) at the University of the Witwatersrand is a centre for academic research and teaching on migration, aid, and social transformation. Since its foundation in 1998, it has become a key reference point for academics, service provides, and policy makers. Its staff and associates conduct innovative, empirically grounded research and training on migration and humanitarianism in the African context together with select post-graduate students from across the continent and beyond. It focuses on research teaching and outreach and advocacy work.
