The Oil, Gas and Mining Sustainable Community Development Fund (CommDev)

The Oil, Gas and Mining Sustainable Community Development Fund (CommDev) is a funding mechanism for practical capacity building, training, technical assistance, implementation support, awareness-raising, and tool development.

CommDev promotes trilateral partnerships among communities, local governments, and extractive industry companies to develop not only immediate win-win-win benefits but strategic, sustainable solutions that will, over time, effectively reduce poverty and create further opportunities for the extractive industry community. It seeks to be both a knowledge and funding resource for community development in this sector, drawn from the experience of partner institutions and CommDev-funded projects. ( adapted from website)
