Fighting human trafficking

The United Nations Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking (UN.GIFT) was conceived to join forces and coordinate the global fight on human trafficking, on the basis of foremost international agreement reached at the UN. UN.GIFT provides a framework for all stakeholders governments, business, academia, civil society and the media - so that they can support each other, work in partnership, and create effective tools to fight human trafficking.

By encouraging and facilitating cooperation and coordination, UN.GIFT aims to create synergies among the anti-trafficking activities of UN agencies, international organisations and other stakeholders to develop the most efficient and cost-effective tools and best practices.
