International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN)

The International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN), founded in 1977, is a multidisciplinary international organisation that brings together a worldwide cross-section of professionals to work towards the prevention and treatment of child abuse, neglect and exploitation globally. 

ISPCAN advances the research and knowledge on child abuse and neglect through its monthly journal ‘Child Abuse and Neglect’, regional conferences, and training events. It also publishes ‘World Perspectives’ every two years, which is a report on the status of child abuse and neglect worldwide.
