The Climate Group

The Climate Group is an international, non-profit organisation based in London. The organisation's goal is to help government and business set the world economy on the path to a low-carbon, prosperous future through the formation of a coalition of governments and the world’s most influential businesses which are all committed to tackling climate change.

Some of the initiatives that the Climate Group are involved in include:

• Oline support and reserach activities to further assist and engage their corporate members (which include: HSBC; Virgin Atlantic, Barclays Bank, etc)
  
• the Voluntary Carbon Standard – a new global standard for voluntary offset projects  
• Breaking the Climate Deadlock – an international policy initiative with former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair
