Development Initiatives (DI)

Development Initiatives is an independent organisation that provides research and consultancy services on aid, development and poverty reduction. As well as working to deliver research and consultancy services on behalf of others, Development Initiatives encourages contacts between individuals, groups and organisations that share its commitment to eradicating absolute poverty.

Development Initiatives Consulting (DI Consulting) provides research, information, communication, evaluation and consultancy services on:

• aid, development and poverty policy
  
• statistical analysis
  
• NGO-government-donor relations
  
• programme and advocacy evaluation.

Development Initiatives Poverty Research (DIPR) is the not-for-profit partner of DI Consulting. Its mission is to increase information and awareness on poverty, humanitarian and development assistance and the factors that cause and perpetuate poverty. DIPR receives grant funding in support of two major programmes:

• aidinfo – aidinfo.org
• Global Humanitarian Assistance (GHA) – globalhumanitariainassistance.org.
