Poverty Reduction Learning Network

The Poverty Reduction Learning Network is a network of academics, practitioners, donor agencies, government ministries and NGOs who are committed to sharing their knowledge, skills and learning within a community setting. The network believes that significant poverty reduction in sub-Saharan Africa cannot be achieved without strong policy analysis and management capacity both in the public sector and civil society at large. The concept of a PRLN is based on a comprehensive needs assessment of policy analysis and management for poverty reduction (PAMPR) and current levels of expertise in seven countries in East and Central Africa (Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe).

The study (PAMPR) underlying PLRN, is accessible on this website and was undertaken by an international team with funding from the UK Department for International Development (DFID).
