Global Aging Initiative Program (CSIS)

Research programme from the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), exploring the economic, financial, political, and global security implications of societal aging in the advanced industrial nations.

The GAI will

• assess the full range of risks that aging in developed countries will present for economic growth in both the world's rich and poor nations, for the stability of international markets, and for global security
• raise the public and political profile of these risks; and
• identify policy reforms at a domestic and multilateral level that could mitigate the growing policy challenges highlighted in the project's analysis.
