One of a series of research centres established by the National Institute on Aging to provide innovative and policy-relevant research on health, social factors, economics, and other issues that affect the older population. Research mainly based on the United States.

Major themes of research include:

  • midlife development and aging
  • economics of population aging
  • inequalities in health and aging
  • international, comparative studies of population aging

Produces Current Awareness in Aging Report, weekly email report that that tracks new research, publications etc. Back issues available on Web site.
