Web site currently covering preparations for the planned conference to be convened in Madrid, Spain from 8 to 12 April 2002, marking the twentieth anniversary of the Vienna World Assembly on Ageing. The United Nations Commission for Social Development is the preparatory committee.

Assembly aimed to review the outcome of the First World Assembly, revise the International Plan of Action and develop a long-term strategy on ageing.
