Gateway to development issues in the South coming from a Southern perspective
"Choike" is a portal made from a Southern perspective, intended to help users with a specific interest in the issues of particular concern for developing countries.
"Choike" is a product of NGONET, a project started in 1991 to help Southern NGOs benefit from the new information and communicatio technologies. It is hosted in Montevideo, Uruguay, by ITeM (Third World Institute), an independent non-profit organization.
The site covers a series of issues within subject areas such as:

The site has a significant database of organisations, websites and news sources and reports and links are provided to relevant news items, features, articles and reports.
