Centre for Social Protection (CSP)
The Centre for Social Protection (CSP) at the Institute of Development Studies, Brighton, UK, supports a network of partners working to mainstream social protection in development policy and encourage social protection systems and instruments that are comprehensive, long-term, sustainable and pro-poor.
It produces research on:
The CSP is also the home of the Crisis Watch Initiative and the co-convenors of the Social Protection in Asia (SPA) programme.
The CSP produces a quarterly e-newsletter which focuses on social protection research and provides useful resources including relevant publications, events, vacancies and contacts.
It produces research on:

- Design Issues, including delivery, targeting and affordability
- Impacts of different social protection initiatives
- Food Security and Agriculture
- Climate Change Adaptation
- Migration
- Health
