Almost 10 billion kroner (approximately 1,8 billion US dollars) havebeen given to development cooperation to promote human rights over thepast decade. This Mapping Study is the first deliverable for the evaluation of Norway’s support to the field of human rights over the last ten years. The purpose of the evaluation is to know more about the nature andeffect of Norwegian support to human rights, with a view to informingfuture work in this area.

The mapping study looks at:
  • background and objectives
  • mapping the human rights portfolio
  • mapping by budget chapters
  • agreement partners for human rights activities
  • support to freedom of expression
  • country support
