Guide to Corporate Ecosystem Valuation

The Guide is a framework for improving corporate decision-making by enabling companies to consider the actual benefits and values of the ecosystem services they depend and impact on. Fourteen members road tested the Guide, working with four partners: International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), World Resources Institute (WRI), ERM and PwC. The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity study (TEEB) has emphasized the concept of ecosystem valuation as a practical and influential aid to decision-making. This Guide “operationalizes” TEEB’s key messages and recommendations by providing a practical approach for effective application at the company level.
