Bloomberg New Energy Finance provides subscription-based services including industry-leading research, up-to-the-minute verified news and data on clean energy and the carbon markets. The aim is to assist clients in making smart decisions. Bloomberg New Energy Finance was founded by Michael Liebreich in 2004 and it now employs some 180 analysts and sector specialists with offices in Europe, North and South America, Africa, Asia and Oceania. In 2006, it added analysis and modelling of the carbon markets to its suite of services. In 2009 New Energy Finance was acquired by Bloomberg, a trusted source of data, news, analytic and trading tools for businesses and financial professionals. Bloomberg was founded in 1981 with one core belief: that bringing transparency to capital markets through access to information could increase capital flows, produce economic growth and jobs and significantly reduce the cost of doing business.
