Review of Madrid Plan of Action on Ageing
A decade after the adoption of the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing, this meeting was called to serve as a key regional platform for reviewing the achievements in the implementation of the Madrid Plan of Action and the remaining challenges in preparation for and adapting to an ageing future. The outcome of the Meeting will represent the Asia-Pacific input, which will contribute to the global review to be conducted in early 2013 under the auspices of the Commission for Social Development.
The objectives of the Meeting:
The objectives of the Meeting:
- to review the progress made in the Asia-Pacific region in the implementation of the Madrid Plan of Action
- to consider key priorities under each priority direction in the Madrid Plan of Action for the next implementation cycle from 2013 to 2017 in the Asia-Pacific region
- to identify key areas for regional cooperation to further strengthen the implementation of the Madrid Plan of Action
