Women’s political participation in Nepal

It is very rare for women to make it to senior decision making positions within political parties in Nepal. Although political parties are obliged to have a women's wing as part of their organisational structure, their role is limited to women's capacity building activities. This paper takes conversations with several activists across the sector which reveal an interesting melting pot of ideas, how they now assess the situation, and what it means for the women's political movement.
