Tsunami relief and rehabilitation: a participatory approach

This case study is based on the experiences of SAHAI's field support and intervention in the aftermath of the Indian Ocean Tsunami, 2004. The study highlights the linkages between self-governance and participatory approach, and how it led to planning a long-term rehabilitation strategy for the affected community.
