Zed Books is a co-operative whose purpose is the publication and effective distribution, North and South, of books on international and Third World issues. Issues covered in Zed publications include: Development and Environment Studies; Politics and Economics; Gender and Cultural Studies; Asian, Middle-Eastern, African and Latin-American Studies. Over half of the published authors are from the South.
