Empowering pacific youth to work towards MDGs
Youth for a Sustainable Future Pacifica (YSFP) describes itself as a network empowering young people in the region to engage their communities in achieving the MDGs and other key international and regional development priorities.
YSFP works on two fronts. One involves promoting the ideas and policy recommendations of youth to governments and organisations and the other involves helping young people in the pacific to initiate and carry out local development projects based on MDG target areas.
The organisation website has a collection of online resources specifically designed for pacific youth, which is supplemented by regular email newsletters. YSFP also produces books, toolkits and collates information and case study examples of youth-led MDG projects.
