I am the Livelihoods Connect editor. I have a passionate interest in the application of livelihoods approaches. My academic training is in politics and economics. About Livelihoods Connect

Livelihoods Connect was established in 1999 as a learning platform on Sustainable Livelihoods Approaches (SLA) for the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID). Since then our mandate and user-base has widened significantly. Our goal is that information on livelihoods approaches contributes to development processes and interventions that are pro-poor, inclusive and equitable.

Our information resources encompass a range of frameworks, principles and methodologies associated with the term ‘livelihoods approaches' i.e. multi-disciplinary, multi-level, people-centred, asset-based approaches to development.
