Developing appropriate technology: Africa and China
Africacrops. net's strategy is to implement a programme on genetic improvement and dissemination of new varieties of African food crops. The program supports work on seven crops of importance to food security throughout sub-Saharan Africa: maize, cassavabeans, sorghum, rice, banana, and cowpea.
Africa Crops provides news and information on recent research and policy developments involving improvement of crops including available grants, publications, training, conferences and links to online journals and databases. It works in partnership with a number of other networks focusing on the same sector in Africa.
