About the guide
This resource guide aims to support support policy-makers, researchers, civil society organisations and interested groups in accessing relevant and evidence-based information on agricultural development. The guide does not provide any technical information, rather it is intended to support policy processes and debate around questions such as: what role does agriculture play in development? What are the key opportunities and constraints? Which way forward for agriculture given increasing glboal economic integration and environmental uncertainty?
The guide aims to do so by providing:
- Access to key research, debates and announcements related to agricuture and agricultural development
- Structured presentation of some of the key issues in agriculture, such as our synthesis page on biotechnology governance (other key issues pages are under development)
- Access to a broad range of related information through weblinks to organisations working in the fields of agriculture, discussion lists, and email bulletins.
