Water and Environmental Health at London and Loughborough (WELL)

WELL is a resource centre network providing advisory, networking, and information services and resources in water, sanitation and environmental health for the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and other agencies. It is managed by the Water, Engineering and Development Centre (WEDC), the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and the International Water and Sanitation Centre (IRC).

WWW site hosts the following information resources:

  • WELL Publications
WELL publications are available to view and download. These include fact sheets, technical briefs, consultancy report executive summaries, occasional papers, books and manuals and WELL studies.
  • WELL Document Catalogue
The online searchable WELL Document Catalogue comprises around 10,000 library records of items relating to water and environmental health in developing and transitional countries. Copies of these items are held in the walk-in resource centres at either the Water, Engineering and Development Centre (WEDC), Loughborough University, or at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). While items are not available for loan, the WELL Document Service can supply whole documents and photocopies of whole or part documents.
  • Image Catalogue
This visual database allows you to search, select and view the contents of the catalogue, which draws together existing visual resources from WEDC, LSHTM, IRC and other organisations.
