The International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, is the largest multilateral provider of financing for private enterprise in developing countries. This annual report describes the IFC’s activities for the fiscal year of 2006.

The report includes descriptions of:

  • new guiding principles for technical assistance and advisory services
  • the increased emphasis on results and development impact measurement
  • regional and country programmes and initiatives
  • technical assistance trust fund programme
