Jubilee Database


Based on the assumption that data should be accessible to evrybody in a simple and straight forward manner, the Jubilee Databases provides access to a number of statistics on the HIPC initative, debt service, grants, etc.

Information covered includes:

  • answers to the most frequent questions about the HIPC initiative and debt before and after HIPC
  • decision point and and completion point dates for each country and comments on their progress under the HIPC Initiative
  • a chromology of countries reaching completion point and decision point since 2000
  • details of each country's debt before relief, the amount of debt relief (HIPC, Traditional and Additional Bilateral) and debt remaining
  • details of debt, debt service, and key ratios and macroeconomic indicators
  • data on grants and net concesional lending to each country, and on foreign direct investment
  • the composition of each country's debt by creditor, including amounts owed to the World Bank, the IMF and other types of creditors.

The Jubilee Database is available to download as a Microsoft Excel Document or separate PDF files, and can also be viewed online.
