Natural resource and environmental conflict: building peace

Conflicts associated with natural resources are twice as likely to relapse into conflict in the first five years, an imminent report suggests. With climate change and population growth placing increasing demands on the environment, conflict over basic resources is set to increase. This new UN report is a clarion call for 'resource management' to be a core part of the peace process.
