Independent organisation dedicated to the promotion ofhumanitarian principles, the prevention of conflict and the alleviation of its effects through dialogue.

Currently, the Centre works on two main sectors:

• development of regional and international policy on issues affecting conflict
• facilitation of humanitarian mediation in conflict zones

Policy research projects cover:

• conflict mediation
• civilian protection issues
• small arms proliferation
• transition and reconstruction - rule of law and justice sector reform

All project aim to stimulate new thinking on contemporary humanitarian issues and shape opinions through scholarly work.
