Applied policy research organisation that seeks to inform and enhance the security debate in Sub-Saharan Africa. Activities include:

  • crime and justice
  • organised crime and corruption
  • security sector transformation

ISS publications include the quarterly journal African Security Review and the newsletters: ACT; Action on Small Arms in Southern Africa and Small Arms Proliferation and Africa.
