Conflict and humanitarian aid
NGO promoting nonviolent peacekeeping and support for human rights. Maintains international observer/accompaniment teams in areas of conflict. When invited, PBI sends teams of volunteers into areas of political conflict who accompany human rights defenders, their organizations, and others threatened by political violence.
Countries/areas covered currently include: Colombia; Indonesia/East Timor; Mexico; Chiapas; the Balkans, (closed projects: Guatemala; Haiti; N. America; Sri Lanka
