I am one of the team of editors on the Eldis programme responsible for Corporate Responsibility , Governance Resource Guides. I also edit two Regional Profiles-South Asia and East Asia. I hold a MA degree in Governance and Development from the Institute of Development Studies.
About the guide
This resource guide aims to provide information that cuts through much of the rhetoric surrounding corporate responsibility in order to support policy-makers, researchers, civil society organisations and interested groups to assess: Is corporate responsibility working? For who and in what ways? How could it be made to work better? What are the implications for corporate responsibility in relation to developing countries, and in particular for traditionally marginalised groups?
The guide aims to do so by providing:
- Access to key research, debates and announcements on corporate responsibility
- Structured presentation of key issues in corporate responsibility, with particular emphasis upon extractive industries, the effectiveness of codes of conduct, and citizen participation and corporate accountability
- Access to a broad range of related information through weblinks to organisations working in the field of corporate responsibility.
