Meet the editor
- Penelope Anthias
- I am one of the team of editors of the Eldis information gateway, hosted at IDS. My main subject areas of interest are agricultural development, food security, and the environment and climate change.
About the guide
This resource guide aims to support support policy-makers, researchers, civil society organisations and interested groups in accessing relevant and evidence-based information on environmental issues, including climate change. The guide does not provide much in the way of technical information, rather it is intended to support policy processes and debate around key environmental topics as they relate to development.
The guide aims to do so by providing:
- Access to key research, debates and announcements related to biodiversity, climate change, water, energy and other environmental themes
- Structured presentation of some of the key issues in agriculture. A new synthesis guide on Payments for Ecological Services (PES) is forthcoming.
- Access to a broad range of related information through weblinks to organisations working on environmental issues, discussion lists, and email bulletins.
