  • $285.5 million in equities and guarantees
  • $4.7 billion disbursed, 33% more than in 2004
  • $1.2 billion approved for 51 grants
  • $198.7 million approved for 299 technical assistance activities

Major operational and institutional highlights:

  • creation of the multitranche financing facility
  • local currency financing for public and private transactions
  • rapid response to the Indian Ocean tsunami, South Asian earthquake, and avian flu
  • creation of the Office of Regional Economic Integration
