International Women's Rights Action Watch - Asia Pacific (IWRAW-AP)

International Women's Rights Action Watch Asia Pacific is an international women's human rights organisation. Since 1993, tha organisation has worked to contribute to the progressive interpretation and realisation of the human rights of women through the lens of the UN Convention on the Elimination Against All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) and other international human rights treaties.

IWRAW Asia Pacific promotes the domestic implementation of international human rights standards by building the capacity of women and human rights advocates to claim and realise women's human rights. It has worked consistently with the Convention and its Committee to support recognition and enjoyment of the human rights of women in the national contexts, as well as claiming rights and redress for violations of rights. In participating in such international processes, IWRAW Asia Pacific has consistently facilitated the participation of women from national organisations, so that national experiences impact upon the formulation of such mechanisms, thereby optimising their usage and implementation. This is done through the development of new knowledge and the utilisation of a rights-based approach.
